Servicing
All heat pumps contain refrigerant of some kind. Refrigerant has a global warming potential, and as such, the operator/owner has the responsibility to ensure the prevention of refrigerant loss. This is done by mandatory leak testing based on the type and quantity of the refrigerant charge.
Why service your OCHSNER Heat pump?
Regular servicing is essential for many reasons. Firstly, to ensure your warranty/guarantee is covered, you should use only authorised service partners and complete the service in line with the guarantee period detailed at your point of sale. Secondly, it helps to identify and address any potential issues early, preventing costly repairs due to unmanaged systems. A well-maintained system will assist with efficient running, saving money and extending the life of the system. Many heat pumps are installed using government grants or subsidies. These come with a clause that the system MUST be maintained in a serviceable state, and in accordance with the manufacture’s recommendations. Lastly, and we feel most importantly, the system is checked for safety, ensuring you, your family, your friends and members of the public are safe, providing you with peace of mind.
Costs
Included within the service costs are the service engineer’s travel time and mileage. Parking, tolls and parts are NOT included within the cost. Prices do not include VAT.

If the system is in fault when the engineer arrives, the service cost will be cancelled and the Break Down charges shown below will be applied.
What’s included in your OCHSNER service?
So, apart from the peace of mind that the system is being maintained by OCHSNER trained engineers, with F-Gas certification and training, plus the full support of OCHSNER, the following is all included within the service provided by JAC Air Conditioning.
- Travel time and mileage is included (Parking charges and tolls apply).
- Labour time for the service.
- Leak Testing in accordance with F-Gas Reg EC1516/2014.
- Recording the F-Gas logbook.
- Recording of any error data.
- Cleaning of evaporator coils.
- Checking of all safety devices.
- Checking of all electrical isolations.
- Checking the hydraulic, pressure gauges, expansion vessels and pumps.
- Checking of the refrigeration systems and recording a status report.
- Uploading the system status report for OCHSNER.
- Checking of all sensors and calibrate where necessary.
- Checking the compressor, pumps and fans. Bearings and lubrications.
- Checking of defrosting valves, 3 ways valves, solenoids and expansion valves.
- Checking of all electrical components and wiring.
- Clean down of system casework.
- Discussing with the owner/operator any issues and offering onsite repairs if available (charged separately)
- Discussing with the owner/operator all findings.
- Recording in service logbook and F-Gas Equipment Record.
- Uploading all service documents to the customer portal and OCHSNER partnernet.
- Assistance with any potential warranty claims.
